MEDIA ALERT

TAYLORED ATHLETES ELITE BOYS BASKETBALL AAU TEAM

WINS NATIONAL COLLEGE EXPOSURE TOURNAMENT

WITH PLAYERS FROM PALM BEACH, BROWARD AND DADE COUNTIES

BOCA RATON, FL – Several South Florida high school basketball players earned national bragging rights recently on the Taylored Athletes Elite Boys High School Basketball AAU Team coached by Milton Cowart and James Taylor. The 17 and under team with sophomores and juniors from Palm Beach, Broward, Dade, Polk and Sarasota counties captured first place in the Big Shots National College Exposure Tournament in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and finished the tournament with a 6-1 record to claim the title.

In addition to defeating AAU teams from throughout the country, the players showcased their skills in front of more than 400 college coaches and scouts. The exposure was a plus for the players, including several who are already receiving national recruiting attention from colleges and universities. The trip was sponsored by A Taylored Heart Foundation as part of its 1-Op Initiative to help underprivileged young men earn an opportunity to play in front of college coaches in hopes to earn a college scholarship. The team is presently competing in Ft. Lauderdale in a Exposure tournament hosted by Breakdown Magazine and State High School Recruiting Service.

Coach James Taylor commented, β€œIt means the world to me to be in a position to help these young men. A Taylored Heart Foundation is about empowering these young athletes with the three A's: Academics, Athletics, and Attitude, and they exhibited all three in this tournament, so I'm so proud of them.”

James Taylor is the founder, CEO and Director of Training for Taylored Athletes. James grew up playing ball in his native home town Haines City, and attended Haines City high school and continued through his college career at Lynn University in Boca Raton where he was only the second basketball player to be inducted into the Hall of Fame last May. Taylor was a professional basketball player overseas and has trained players around the world. He recently appeared in a national Nike training commercial as LeBron James' point guard, passing the ball to him in a breakdown tutorial of LeBron's signature moves.
