How It All Began

At an early age, James Taylor began his entrepreneurial path by cutting lawns and collecting cans from neighbors.

 Today, at 29, he is running a successful youth sports development agency. Taylored Athletes Sports has positively changed the lives of more than 6,000 children.

Taylor thought of the company name while visiting an orphanage in Prussia. After playing professional basketball and working as a high school teacher in South Florida, he started the company; and quickly became a pioneer for the basketball training industry.

“It started as a basketball concierge service. I wanted to take away pressure from parents who had to figure out how to teach their kids how to play the game,” said Taylor. Today, the company offers one-on-one basketball lessons, a basketball summer camp and basketball academies.

Taylored Athletes Sports teaches students lessons on and off the court. It provides a safe and positive youth sports environment. The company has a one-love philosophy — a universal love that is shared by everyone.

“We take our students on a journey of self-discovery. We teach perseverance and patience,” said Taylor. “We help them to handle basketball wars they may come across. These could be problems with coaches, politics and hidden agendas. We teach them to never give up on their goals.”

Taylor has built a team of talented people to carry out his passion for child development. Along with balancing his family life, he is working on several books, including a basketball training guide and a CEO motivational guide.

Taylored Athletes' Inc., established in 2007, has rapidly grown into South Florida’s leading premier Youth Sports Development Agency. Taylored Athletes was established to be a beacon of hope to all who possess a love, passion, and commitment to the game of basketball. Our goal is to not only help athletes succeed, but help them grow both on and off the basketball court.  Participants in our program are inspired to strive for success in life.   It is our philosophy that basketball can be used as a vehicle to build character, promote positive thinking, develop self empowerment, and to live a life of integrity.

TA HISTORY

Founded in Spring of 2007, by company CEO and Lead Skill Development Training Director, James Taylor, Taylored Athletes' has evolved into a full service basketball training and consulting company.  Our goal is improving the quality of life for every athlete that enters our program.  In just three full years of operation, TA has provided personal training to over 1000 youth in South Florida.  We currently run programs weekly at the Sugar Sand Park Field House Gymnasium, 300 S Military Trail, Boca Raton, FL 33436. James Taylor trains some of the top high school players in the area.  He also trains several European professionals privately.

Our 2008 Next Level Basketball Camp, held at the Wayne Barton Center Gymnasium in Boca Raton, Fl,  received high acclaim from local high school coaches of players who attended the camp, for the intense drills, detailed instruction, and the dynamic speed and agility training regiment that our program provides.

TA MISSION

Taylored Athletes strives to promote a passion and respect for the game of basketball.  We focus on teaching, training, and the basic fundamental skills of the game of basketball.  We try to encourage players to develop self confidence by utilizing positive role models that create a high energy atmosphere to learn. Our company is built on the fundamental principles of Integrity, Quality Training, Faith, Sportsmanship, and Learning Life Lessons through the game of basketball.
